Technical Department: duties as a Team Leader and Tivoli Specialist:
- Information gathering for company clients and communicate with customers and end-users to identify customers’ needs.
- Design small, medium and high-End IBM solutions for clients from both the public and private sectors.
- Leading the team members through cooperation to solve customers’ problems and reports to the IT operations manager.
- Implementing new technologies and deployment IBM Tivoli products on Multi-Platforms (Win2000 SP4, Win2003, AIX.5.2-5.3, RedHat x) a heterogeneous environment:
o Tivoli Enterprise Console 3.9.
o Tivoli Risk Manager 4.2.
o IBM Tivoli Storage Manager Versions (5.1, 5.2, 5.3, and 5.4).
- Providing Business Continuity plans (High Availability, Continuous operations, and Disaster Recovery) using IBM software/Hardware technology.
- Online backup for different servers (Data Base, Mail, etc.).
- Administer, monitor and backup data for the company’s IT environment.
- Installation, configuration, and maintenance of:
o Small heterogeneous systems (win/Linux) networks.
o LAMP (Linux, Apache, MYSQL, and PHP).
o Firewalls and proxy.
o Mail, FTP, and web servers.
o Active Directory, DNS, DHCP, and NFS.
· Testing, monitoring and reporting systems components performance issues.
· Preparing technical monthly/weekly/daily reports and technical statistics.
· Test and recommend hardware and equipment for operations.
· Test applications and file conversions readiness for distribution via email and via internet/intranet.
· Write systems documentation and handover information regarding software updates and hardware/software troubleshooting.
· Coordinate with Internet Service Providers to maintain the company Internet Connections.
· Administer production, pre-production, and test IT environment.
· Implement software testing on the pilot environment.
· Supervision and training of employees in use of software applications.
· Maintain IT infrastructure for development teams on heterogeneous systems (Windows, Linux) and different programming languages (Java, .net, Ajax, C, C++) and different databases such as Oracle, MYSQL, and MSSQL.
· Implement Security Policies for operating systems and network.
· Implementation of intrusion detection systems, operating Systems updates, Risk Analysis and Network Traffic monitoring.
· Implementation of (VPN) Virtual Private Network, (PKI) Public Key Infrastructures, Digital Certificates, (SSL) Secure Socket Layer, (LDAP) Light Weight Access Protocol.
