Outsourced to KBM as IBM Tivoli Specialist to work at Kuwait Airways Co.
- Designing Solutions based on customers’ requirements and prepare technical proposals.
- Analyze customers’ environment through capacity planning, performance analysis, problems analysis, and escalate to appropriate Levels with recommended solutions.
- Preparing the statement of work and scope of work documentation.
- Maintain the customer relationship and ensure systems developed and delivered properly as per end-user requirements.
ICT Business Continuity/DR Achievements:
- Writing the Business Continuity plan and manuals in terms of (High Availability, Continuous operations, and Disaster Recovery).
- Coordinate the Business Continuity plan with BC team members and staff and conduct training sessions.
- Disaster recovery plan test for the organization’s functional areas.
- Ensure the recovery and restoration procedures accuracy for the business processes.
- Maintain the key persons internal/external contacts and test the DR facilities’ equipment.
- Identify the critical business processes, perform risk assessments, and its impact.
IBM Tivoli Specialist role duties:
- Documentation and Report writing according to the SLA (Create regular reports for Management requirements).
- Technical Leader for IBM Tivoli implementation projects; initiation, planning, implementation, training, and services support.
- Technical Pre-Sales for IBM Tivoli products; create, scope, develop, propose, and close IBM Tivoli opportunities.
- Team Leader for IBM Tivoli Products such as (Tivoli Enterprise Console, Tivoli Netcool/OMNIbus base, Tivoli Netcool/Webtop, Tivoli Monitoring, Tivoli Configuration Manager…etc.
- IBM TSM Server Administration, TSM tapes handling, management, tuning, troubleshooting, and planning for the monthly preventive maintenance plan.
- Upgrade planning Hardware/Software for Tivoli Products and writing technical requirements and specifications for the upgrade process.
- Hardware Installation including Tape Libraries and Tape Expansion Units (IBM 3584 Tape Library) and IBM P520 and many other TS3200…etc.
- Understanding and manage Hierarchical Storage Management (HSM) environment, and Storage Pools.
Used Technologies: EMC DMX/VMAX, VPLEX, VNX, Storage virtualization, IBM DS8000 series, Hardware management console (HMC), DS storage manager, DS4000 series. Design SANs based on Brocade and Cisco solution. |
